Windsor Tree Mapping
We are asking for your help to map out all of Windsor's trees! Windsor keeps a record of all the trees they plant along our roads and in our parks - but that's it! Windsor does not keep track of all the trees in our yards or in our naturalized areas. Which is why we need you! Help us map out the trees in your area to give us a better idea of just how many trees are in our city.
How You Can Help
We are mapping Windsor’s trees using a mapping service called “Open Street Map” (OSM). It is an open source mapping service that anybody can contribute to. We want you to map out trees on your property using Open Street Map. If it is your first time using the website then you will have to make an account. Open Street Maps works best in a web browser, however there are many free apps you can download that allows you to use OSM on your mobile.

For Android users, we recommend using "StreetComplete". A free, easy to use app that allows you to edit Open Street Map on the spot.
​​For Apple users, we recommend using "Every Door". A free, easy to use app that allows you to edit Open Street Map on the spot.
